Blue Art can Cheer You Up!
Feeling Blue? No worries - just hang some art with blue in it and your soul will sing. As Eleanora Duse, the Italian Actress, once quoted, "If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if the simplest things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive."
As blue artists we recognize how uplifting it is to use blue in our artwork. I especially love to use it when the photographic image calls for it. Sometimes black and white photography is too harsh or isn't conveying the right mood that was felt at the moment of creation. So, we add a blue tone and then we've got the blues too.

I may have made a poor decision when I decided to put the blue cat artwork so close to the blue bird artwork. Can you see how the cat from Andy Warhol's piece titled '25 Cats Named Same and One Blue Pussy, c.1954 (Blue Sam) is eyeing the bird in the art print titled, 'Blue Crane or Heron' by John James Audubon? Wink. Well, isn't that the point of animals painted blue? One can have fun. However, I do take art seriously as well and that is why I have included the art prints by John James Audubon. Not only was he a painter and naturalist, he could have loosely been called a photographer since his bird art was so realistic. Category: Images realistically captured without a camera.
