INSPIRATIONAL ART DECOR

Feel inspired to decorate a home with posters that have soul

Inspirational Themes—Decorate your room with Confidence

The art of hanging inspirational posters as reminder notes: Ok, here’s why I believe in inspirational art decor, if you look in my home studio, you will see teeny, tiny notes, stuck on the wall just above my desk containing inspiring thoughts, like this one by Albert Einstein, “There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle,” or this one by Charles H. Spurgeon, “By perseverance the snail reached the ark.“ Isn’t that last famous quote great? Now, these little pieces of paper work perfectly, but I get antsy when things don’t look stylish in my home, and I’ll bet you feel the same way, sooooo, as an artist, I felt inspired to create some larger reminder notes that can be hung as inspiring wall art―like my Perseverance Poster (see below). Plus, since I have the opportunity to offer you other artist’s inspirational posters and prints, containing gorgeous photography and inspiring quotes, I hand-picked some I think would look great on any wall in a home or office. There will always be more added down the road, so feel free to come back anytime. Maybe put it on a sticky as a reminder―just kidding. My only intentions are to inspire! Peace be with you.
Have you ever wondered what it is that inspires contemporary artists to paint angels? I mean with respect to the idea that so many past great artists had no choice but to dedicate their time to this particular subject. For instance, Renaissance artist Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, better know as Raphael, who painted the two cherubs in, 'Detailed of the Sistine Madonna c.1514' probably would have had to paint the angelic beings into the painting according to a strict mandate laid out by the monks who commissioned him for the altarpiece. History will tell us, he's not the only one who painted biblical themes with angels abound. However, times have changed and last time I checked there weren't a whole lot of monastery commissions available to bid on. So, with that said, what is it exactly that inspires an individual today to 'want' to take their free will and put a visual representation of these heavenly spirits onto a canvas? Could it be as simple as their personal beliefs encouraging them? Or is there an unexplainable force that propels these images to materialize in this time space reality that the artist has no choice but to share it with all? I can speak to that, as I've had my own unique experience where an unfolding occurred un-expectantly. Read more about that art story here. Now, as for others, I can't speak for why they decide to create angel art. The only thing I could do is look for hints that the artist that the artist leaves us: the title; the description about the art; the actual message on the art. If we take a look at the following works of art, we might get some hints that could put my wondering mind to rest. The first fine art reproduction for sale is by fellow Artist Rising

artist Yumi Sugai

who uses the title, 'Angel'. Pretty straightforward, however there is a clue provided in the artwork's description. I'll save that as a surprise–just click on the image below for that insight. Another potential clue may come within the title, 'In Truth There is Love' by

artist Elvira Amrhein

. If it's possible to create a vibrational tone just by voicing words, then if paint strokes were used to convey this title's vibration then surely a creation with such magnificent beauty would have to materialize. It's like a visual song with all the colours swirling in perfect harmony. Who wouldn't want to believe? Finally, a clue could come from the actual message within the work. Here

artist Jo Moulton

uses the following expression: We are never so lost that ANGELS can't find us. Isn't this positively the most comforting reminder a wall could hold? Pure warmth for the heart and home. In conclusion, I don't think there's a clear cut answer as to why painters angels. I just know that people love them. I love them. And I hope to see them for centuries to come.

Believe, then you're believing... I know that's easier said than done, but the word 'believe' truly can be a word to live by. Take a look at

Debbie DeWittt's inspirational poster 'Words to Live By'

When all is said and done, I want to believe posters are just what our homes need these days to lift the spirits, so, pick one from here to frame, or scroll down this inspirational webpage for some other inspiring artwork that your soul can really believe in...

P.S.: If you don't believe in the above sayings, then don't. Maybe the words by The Buddha ring truer for you: "Do not believe just because wise men say so. Do not believe just because it has always been that way. Do not believe, just because others may believe so. Examine and experience yourself."
To design a poster with a subject like compassion was not an easy task for me. You see, for years I thought the the idea of compassion had the same meaning as sympathy. Now as you know, sympathy means to share the feelings of others, which can be good, but for me I would often take the concept too far. What do I mean by that? Well, I mean I would become so in sync for the other person's sorrow or anguish that I would become as depressed as they were. Pretty soon there was a pity party with nobody providing emotional guidance for anyone. However, over the years, with much reflection and openness to new insights on this topic, I've come to a personal motto that states: I will do my best, even under the saddest of circumstances, to show support to others by remaining in a positive and centered state of being-ness. Surely the concept of a being a positive example is far more encouraging to others than if I joined in their depression or told them to just cheer up. With this, I decided to go ahead with creating the following artwork as a reminder of this concept. It contains a vivid photograph of Black-eyed Susan flowers and an accompanying inspirational saying.

Confidence is the belief in oneself. Some words to express this are: assurance, certainty, courage, poise,...I would love to emphasize the word 'poise' here because it ties in so nicely with the little ballerinas sporting pink tutus in the first poster below. Visually we see them practicing the art of balance, which is wonderful training for confidence because anyone who has stood tall and stable in their physical footing will also tell you that there's an automatic feeling of balance within your emotional body too. Suddenly you feel all is well. Maybe with the spine in alignment it permits energy to flow up and down it freely–who knows, but I do know regardless of your belief, it's still cool to stand tall and be yourself.

There are so many synonyms one can use for the idea of courage: adventuresomeness, bravery, daring, guts, nerve, tenacity, but often a picture says it all. For instance, the below photograph of a penguin leaping towards the icy cold water is an excellent picture depicting some of those very characteristics. Believe me when I say I won't be standing next in line to take that kind of plunge and it's not because I'm not a penguin. It would take a real gathering of backbone before I'd throw myself off an iceberg at that height head first into freezing water. The Mark Twain saying that goes with this vibrant image is, "Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear – not absence of fear." Well, this speaks volumes, but so does the Dalai Lama quote on fearlessness, "The more you are motivated by love, the more fearless and free your action will be." Finally, I couldn't exclude the, 'Gentle Strength' line (that's line or lion or lying down) art illusion because another synonym of courage is lion-heartedness, which means extraordinarily courageous. No doubt a lion is iconic for that kind of attitude. So, three different takes on courage–all that's needed now is your resolution.
Which came first, a dream or your reality? How about a dreamer... Well, that is up for interpretation and speaking of interpreting dreams, take a look at the following artwork on how these artists interpret a dream.

Do you make an effort to inspire others? Most people don't think they do, but I think they would be wrong because each and everyone of us, in one way or another, help inspire someone. In fact, that someone just might be yourself. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't some days take real effort just to get out of bed and get to work. No, it isn't climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, but it might as well be based on how tired you feel. So, if you were able to do that, pat yourself on the back and know that it required real effort and you inspired yourself enough to achieve that. Then the next time someone asks you who you inspire, mention that you inspired yourself. Who knows, maybe voicing that kinda self-worth will inspire the very person you're talking to. And if you need a little extra boost of encouragement to go beyond that, well, maybe one of the following prints framed and hanging on a home wall, like in a workout room, will help you climb that mountain in Kenya...

Happiness is one of the key components that creates the concept we know as well-being–happy and healthy and prosperous. I think the trick to having happiness is understanding that you already HAVE happiness. It's our natural state of being–it's who we are. However, if we think were unhappy, it's probably because we've blocked ourselves from seeing it; kind of like sticking our hand up in front of the light coming out of a movie projector. The projector can use up to a 4,000 watt light bulb, so there's no lack of light exposing the movie on to the screen, that is unless we block this light with an obstruction of some kind. So, I say, stop creating shadows by standing in front of the Light, just sit down, relax with some popcorn, and let the movie come to you in all it's clarity and fullness. Now that's happiness. The following famous quote on the art poster below, gives another wonderful take on this.

Like wishing you were on a tropical beach, while waiting for a bus in the dead of winter it seems impossible for our minds to conceive, so we give up and remain unhappy. However, I happen to believe in, like attracts like, so it's important that we find a method to change our attitude and the best way to do that is to 'love' what is already before us. Stop reaching for the impossible and start reaching for something we can appreciate here in the now. Take these posters for example. They're before you―in the now. Which one do you 'love'? Don't know. Well, which one can you appreciate? Is there a colour you prefer? Is there a saying that tickles your fancy? Are one of the artists a personal favourite? Do you marvel over the idea that the Marco Fabiano poster is vintage? Find just one thing, then look for another aspect you like, and the next thing you know, you LOVE it. Then who cares about needing a beach to warm your soul, when all you'll have to do is reflect on your inspirational poster. Instant loving life now!

There's an irony about meditation posters because meditation is supposed to be about erasing the endless stream of words that float around our mind, yet visual inspirations like posters can often get our minds geared up for action. But, don't worry because after you've read the wording of certain posters and you are pondering its insight, there's a silence that naturally occurs AND within that silence, you are able to experience a mini meditation. A good example of this phenomena is the following

poster quoting Jeremy Taylor which says, "Meditation is the tongue of our soul and the language of our spirit ."

Remember, there's aren't any hard rules stating that a meditation has to be a certain length of time, so I say make sure your walls don't remain silent--hang some deep thoughts.

Optimism posters are positively hard to come by recently. Maybe because it's so hard for all of us, artists included, to stay optimistic in a world that's changing at the rate of a heartbeat, or should I say, at the beat of a tweet. But, I think the most positive way to look at all this is the way the little seedling looks at life in my enlightening poster below.

You made it! Guess your perseverance to find a scriptural poster paid off. I say scriptural because the saying is just one of the many that English preacher, C. H. Spurgeon's expressed. Another quote I really like by him is, "You might not always get what you want, but you always get what you expect." And I expect that if you adorn a wall, front and center, with this type of encouraging expression, you will not only be reminded every day to hang in there, but you'll also be reminded that with patience and faith, no dream is too big to reach! It brings a smile to my face just to imagine this little snail heading to the ark, let alone making it.
Unique photograph and Christian saying makes this Perseverance Poster a one of a kind.

Now, because Genesis 6 indicated there shall be two of every kind on the ark, clearly I would need to find a way to demonstrate two were on their way. so, the poster is offered in blue as well.
Some things may not be probable, but like Jo Moulton's print title says, 'All Things Are Possible'.
Quality is an essential and distinguishing attribute of something or someone, much like the rose in the first art print. It's the little details coming together that creates the whole. The second example of quality here is the poster titled, 'Character' with the following wise words, "Watch your thoughts they become words. Watch your words they become actions. Watch your actions they become habits and watch your habits they become character. Watch your character it becomes destiny."
Breathe in, breathe out, just feel at ease with decorating a home. And if you need a reminder to stay calm, hang an artistic creation like Nicole Katano's, 'Relax'. This photographic image will definitely help you unwind. Just the sight of the shells sends one's imagination to the beach.

The power of our thoughts is big! I mean if we affirm a thought over and over in our head, eventually these thoughts have got to become what we believe. This is a good thing, especially if we want to live a limitless life, we've got to think beyond our current thinking. The first

The best part of life is being you. You can be anything you want.
Zeal is a word that's so rarely seen under the inspirational category that I almost hesitated to use it, especially because it's also difficult to find inspirational art decor to depict this concept. However, that's the beauty of a challenge, it starts you down a path of discovery and I it didn't take long to discover a

artist Vincent Perriol's art print titled, 'Coeur Passion'

'Passion propels your dreams' on Paula Scaletta's artwork

rings true, or at least they rung true for me.
