Photography takes me places
I won't necessarily call myself a travel photographer, because I'm quite partial to a studio atmosphere, however, I would confidently say that I am a traveller that does more than just your typical sightseeing with a camera when I do go outdoors. If I can find a reason to take a long walk, on or off, the beaten trail, I'll usually do that instead. Why? Well, like I said on my art subject page, I like to ask myself the question, "What am I not seeing here? What's in this location that I've never seen before?" This usually gets me in close to the textures, or it gets me out and expansive into the ‘feeling’ of an environment. That's what I meant by the header. I can look at a scene, with this new perspective, and become totally taken, as in fascinated by it. I used to think that once you've seen one mountain, you've seen them all, but that would be totally wrong. It all depends on how attached you are to seeing what you want to see, which I'm not. I want to see something from a new angle and I'll bet you do too, so have fun exploring this section.
